I bring pragmatism and versatility, earned from 15 years of experience working with top consumer brands and business organizations. Currently leading Strategy at Bukwild, a creative and technology studio in Northern California.
Principles
A few guiding principles that I’ve learned over the years, and try to hold true in everything I do:
Customer-First: In user experience design, the best solution almost always comes by starting with the user’s problem and working backwards. This outcomes-oriented approach applies equally well to branding and marketing.
Simple, Not Easy: Always strive for the simplest solution, but that usually requires a lot more discipline and consistency. Superfluous ingredients are usually used to camouflage a brittle foundation.
Come Prepared: A lesson learned from running eight marathons… I can’t rely on performing a miracle on race day, but I can rely on performing the same way I have in the previous six months of training.
Better to Get It Right than to Be Right: When leading a team, we should all be working towards the same outcome. I’m not going to have all the answers, and challenging my own assumptions is an opportunity to be better.
